Faith

Through its rich heritage and large and diverse population, London is home to many faith groups from every religion.

Possessing a faith can play a positive role in building self-esteem and confidence; and, by definition, being a member of an organized religion increases one’s sense of belonging.

Faith is one of the three key dimensions of the Lieutenancy’s strategy: Building bridges for a fairer London. We will work with faith groups and individual believers to assist their engagement with the wider London population. The Lord-Lieutenant’s Council on Faith was established to deliver this objective.
