HRH The Duke of Kent attended a service at St Mungo’s Grange Road Project (41 Crimscott St, London SE1) and was received by Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, Colonel Simon Duckworth.

HRH The Duke is the Royal Patron of St Mungo’s, which is a UK homelessness charity established over 50 years ago.

His Highness later attended the Community Sport and Recreation Awards at Twickenham Stadium.

The Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Kenneth Olisa, received HM The King, at the Mountbatten Festival of Music, at The Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7.

This was His Majesty’s first public appearance as Captain General Royal Marines at the Mountbatten Festival of Music, which features the Massed Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, invested Mr. Stuart Shilson as Prior of the Priory of England and the Islands at the Priory Church, St. John’s Square, London EC1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE).

The VLL joined a number of other locals, including retirees, toddlers and school groups, helping EarthWatch Europe plant a new “tiny forest” on Peckham Rye Common.  It was cold and muddy with snow on the ground but everyone got stuck in and “dug deep”.
