Preview Of Shrouds Of The Somme

Last night The Lord- Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Kenneth Olisa OBE attended a Preview Of Shrouds Of The Somme, ArcelorMittal Orbit E20 2AD.

72,396 shrouded figures have been laid out at London’s Olympic Park to mark the centenary of the end of World War One. Each hand made model represents one of the 72,396 British Commonwealth serviceman killed at the Somme with no known grave. Artist Rob Heard has spent the last five years hand-crafting each one.
