In a borough where 50 of the 52 Commonwealth countries are represented The Mayor of London Borough of Hounslow hosted a Commonwealth Day Tea at Hounslow Civic Centre for councillors, staff and invited guests.

Maria Pedro, Representative Deputy Lieutenant, told the gathering it that it was down to everyone to make the Commonwealth relevant to 21^st Century and to do that by tweeting the Commonwealth Secretariat what they’d like it to do on #ourcommonwealth.
