Her Majesty The Queen Consort visits Book Aid International

Mr Christopher Wellbelove DL, Representative Deputy Lieutenant, and former Mayor, of the London Borough of Lambeth received Her Majesty Camilla The Queen Consort at Book Aid International (a charity based in Coldharbour Lane).

During her visit, Her Majesty met Book Aid International staff, trustees and representatives from its many volunteers and supporters.  The charity, of which Her Majesty is Patron,  sent more than 1m new books to people in need of them across the world.  In an average year, Book Aid gives an estimated 23.5m people access to books in more than 25 countries. The books are donated by publishers.
