HM The Queen Consort re-opens Boston Manor in Brentford

Ms. Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London) received HM The Queen Consort when she re-opened Boston Manor in Brentford, marking its Four Hundredth Anniversary. This Jacobean House (run by Hounslow Council with the help of local volunteers) has been restored to reflect its 400-year history and will open in late spring.

Her Majesty viewed some of the refurbished rooms and met with architects, craftspeople, apprentices and volunteers who played an integral role in restoring the house to its former glory.  The Leader of Hounslow Council (Councillor Shantanu Rajawat) later presented Her Majesty with a ceremonial key first presented to The Queen Mother when she visited the house in 1963.
