HM The Queen, President, the Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust, opened Maggie’s Centre at the Royal Free Hospital, Pond Street, London NW3, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).  The Centre is a new cancer support unit at the Royal Free Hospital.

HRH The Princess Royal, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, attended the Tenth Anniversary Reception of the Africa Prize for Engineering Innovation at Prince Philip House, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

HRH The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, visited Cox Workshops Limited, Millmead Industrial Estate, Mill Mead Road, London N17, and was received by Captain Peter Baker (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, Wellbeing of Women, attended a Menstrual Health Workshop at Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich, Homestall Road, London SE22, and was received by Mrs. Lynn Cooper (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

HRH The Princess Royal opened the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Medical Sciences, Imperial College NHS Trust, Hammersmith Hospital Campus, Du Cane Road, London W12, and was received by Mr. Kevin McGrath (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

HM The Queen visited Refuge’s Gaia Centre in Lambeth, London, and was received by Mrs. Lynn Cooper (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Gaia Centre opened in 2012 as one of the first services in the UK to offer a single point of access and confidential support for those experience violence and abuse.

HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Katherine Low Settlement, 108 Battersea High Street, London SW11 to mark its centenary and was received by Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, Mrs Colleen Harris.
